The Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking (ICESAHT) will conclude its human trafficking initiatives effective December 31, 2024, the organization announced today. This decision comes in response to a significant decrease of funds for services at the federal level, which are impacting victim services providers like ICESAHT. Visit the links below for the full announcement and FAQs.
Coffee with the coalition is our monthly topical training series. Throughout this series we will be providing trainings from experts in their fields on topics that have been requested by sexual assault service providers and Rape Crisis Centers. This month we will be hearing from a speaker that is well-versed in the ever-changing world of Title IX. Our presenter will be Myra Strand of Strand Squared Solutions.
Myra began working with people who live with trauma in 1995. She has experience working with youth who have complex trauma and/or serious mental illness, people with developmental disabilities, youth in competing war zones, offenders, with death notification, and with victims of all crime types. Myra places a special emphasis on holistic health as it relates to organizational trauma. We are excited to have her share her experience and give attendees a deep dive on ethics and how to train services providers in rural areas.
